The Calling: Heal Ourselves, Heal Our Planet
Work proceeds on our first documentary feature film “The Calling.” Every day more and more people are awakening to the calling of personal and global transformation.
What do we do now? Do you feel you have been called to help make a difference? Journey with us as we meet world leaders in spirituality, healing, politics, the arts, philosophy, and the sciences as they share the awakening and the inspiration that led them to make a difference on our planet.
Indigenous wisdom anchors our work contributing to the creation of a shift in planetary consciousness and an understanding of infinite possibilities available to us all.
As we enter the greatly anticipated era of 2012, a mother, her teenage daughter and a group of multicultural youth journey across the globe seeking wisdom and solutions from elders and visionaries to our most urgent individual and planetary challenges. On their journey they meet with Nobel Peace Prize winners His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Nelson Mandela, and Rigoberta Menchu Tum, along with other great teachers and spiritual leaders of our time. The luminaries talk about their calling, obstacles they have overcome, actions taken and life outcomes. Through these meetings, mother and youth are awakened to The Calling: a call to live and think on a higher, more conscious level. In their healing and transformation they discover the myriad of possibilities available to us in healing ourselves so that we can heal our planet. We’ve got the trailer up on YouTube:

“The Calling: Heal Ourselves, Heal Our Planet,” takes us on a riveting journey across the globe meeting with the world's greatest leaders in spirituality, integrative medicine, indigenous healing, politics, the arts, science and philosophy. We become engaged in each contributor's personal journey of healing and transformation and the inspiration that led them to take a stand for the health and well being of our planet. They remind us how imperative it is to make healthy choices and show us the multitude of possibilities available, when we are open and willing to do so. These leaders and visionaries help us to understand that we benefit ourselves when we listen to our calling and take this magnificent journey. We also benefit our children and the future generations, by creating for them a safe and healthy world to live in.
Some of the other contributors include Nobel Peace Prize Laurette Rigoberta Menchu Tum, Dr. Michael Beckwith, Dr. Larry Dossey, Dick Gregory, Chief Arvol Looking Horse, Taj Mahal, Linda Gray, Jean Houston and Afrika Msimang.
We are in the process of requesting interviews from Nelson Mandela, Al Gore,Deepak Chopra, Richard Gere, Susan Sarandon, Edward James Olmos, Marianne Williamson and others.
We began filming “The Calling,” in April 2007 with His Holiness the Dalai Lama, in Maui, Hawaii and Arun Gandhi, Yolanda, King, Delores Huerta and Anthony Chavez at the Gandhi-King Peace Train, Living Legends for Non-Violence Conference as well as Juana Vasquez Arcon and Federico Mateo Silvestre, Mayan spiritual leaders, and spiritual advisors to Rigoberta Menchu Tum.
